Peyush Bansal was born on April 26, 1985. He belonged to a middle-class family in Delhi. He completed his early education at Don Bosco School in New Delhi. 

His father was a chartered accountant, which provided a stable financial background for his family. He wanted to pursue further studies at IIT for higher studies. 

Despite his hard work and determination, Peyush couldn’t secure admission to IIT. Undeterred by this setback, he decided to explore international opportunities for further education. Later, he decided to join McGill University in Canada for a B-Tech degree in electrical engineering.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Peyush Bansal joined Microsoft as a program manager, which is one of the world’s largest tech companies.

Due to family reasons, he returned to India in 2007. After reaching here, he launched SearchMyCampus company  which is a vocational service that helps college students get internships, coaching, and part-time jobs.

Although the SearchMyCampus startup failed, he started multiple businesses  like Flyrr, Watchkart, Bagskart, and JewelsKart. But all these startups failed, but given a lot of experience, at last he started lenskart company which is now India’s leading eyewear brand with a valuation of billions of dollars.
